Nine years after its debut in 2006, ARPAN : AN OFFERING, the epitome of aesthetic experience offered by the Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy is back again in Atlanta on August 15, 2015. ARPAN is the offering by the students of Nritya Sankalpa where their knowledge & training in the art form of Bharatanatyam is used to give back to the community. This is a show designed & executed entirely by the students to benefit a charity of their choice.
We have great pleasure in inviting you to a dance presentation, ARPAN benefiting Spina Bifida Organization of Georgia & Prajwala, India. The program features "SURYA" , a dance feature on the SUN & a variety of classical Bharatanatyam dance numbers by the students of Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy.
Spina Bifida Organization of Georgia (SBAG) is an organization that works to support families and individuals with Spina Bifida, and to promote the prevention of Spina Bifida while raising awareness of those affected with this birth defect.
Prajwala is an anti-trafficking organization in India which rescues second-generation prostitution. Prajwala runs 17 schools throughout Hyderabad for 7,000 children and has rescued more than 12,000 women from prostitution. At its Asha Niketan center, Prajwala helps young victims prepare for a self-sufficient future. Sunitha Krishnan and Bro Jose Vetticatil co-founded Prajwala, and their efforts have sparked India's anti-trafficking movement by coordinating government, corporations, and NGOs.
